Channeling

Channeling, What does that word actually mean?

I recently did a YouTube Video on Channeling. When I first heard this term, I had no idea what it meant. When I did I my research such movies like Wizard of Oz and the Ghost is what I thought of. Since then, about ten years ago I’ve learned differently. To be real, I’ve been channeling since I was six. Yes six years old when I was at a bible study with my mom when I told her that I hear spirit.

Channeling is something that I have come to realize that we all do in our own way. Channeling is a process that receive information from and energy from a higher form of consciousness and bring into the physical plane. We can do this in a variety of ways we can first channel our higher being like God, our higher self, light beings, spirit guides or past loved ones.

I look it like this when you are channeling you are flowing with a higher form of consciousness from any pro sport player when they are in the flow, to some mathematician solving a hard formula when all the pieces come together as they are receiving information this could of course can happen to anyone at any point they are solving something.

Unfortunately channeling as become a term that is used in the spiritual community, and heard by psychic and mediums only. When I first heard this word was when my mentor told me flatly to channel. I had no idea what she was telling me to do. I asked her what that meant she asked “Do you see and hear spirit?” – Yes “Ok tell me what they are saying” that was it my introduction to channeling. I know now there are many different forms and different ways.

Many of us only pay attention to our conscious thoughts, our conscious ways of moving. However it is said that 95 percent our behaviors are subconscious.  That means that our choices are 95% driven. Channeling in essence is tuning into this other part of you.

Here are few ways you may have heard of channeling

Trance channeling: Where someone literally moves their whole consciousness  to the side and brings though information from other beings, the higher state of being or lived ones. Someone that does trance channeling does not usually remember what they said. Their voice or mannerism may change and to be honest there are not many people out there that truly do this. Examples of this are Seth Speaks, or Abraham Hicks

Automatic Writing; This is a form that I usually encourage and teach when I am coaching someone in their abilities. We can all do this. More than likely anytime that you have journaled and freely written this is what you are doing. Ever sent a text or email to later look back on the words with wonderment of “Wow, where did that come from?” Unlike trance channeling you are fully aware of everything occurring and I encourage people to ask Spirit questions and listen for the response writing it out of course. Sometimes the sentence structure or handwriting will change.

The key to any form of channeling is learning to tune in. Learning to not second guess yourself but trust the information that you are receiving. The more that you learn to listen and trust the more it flows with ease. Do not place judgments on yourself. As a matter of fact when I first started I would videotape myself speaking out loud just to help myself release self judgment. It was sort of cringy to watch but in re watching I learned to trust myself.

People channel for a variety of reasons, some like me it is part of our job to deliver messages from the divine, from loved ones. Some of us do it to learn to understand this world better, to understand ourselves and some do it to heal to release pain and express themselves. It can be creative, and used to guide others. I work with mental health workers that spend a lot of time channeling learn to share the messages and words of wisdom with others. There really isn’t a reason to name it channeling but, when understood the fear of it goes away some.

If you are ready to take the leap with your channeling then I can’t wait to get started with you.
